About GrahaSaathi
Precise charts. Cited readings.
GrahaSaathi is a Vedic astrology workspace built so every number comes from a deterministic calculation engine, and every interpretive sentence traces to a classical source — or is marked as inferred when the corpus cannot support the claim.
How the product is built
Two layers stay strictly separated. The LLM never computes longitudes or dasha boundaries; the rules engine never invents interpretive prose.
Jyotish core. Swiss Ephemeris–backed, BPHS-faithful math for grahas, bhavas, vargas, dashas, strengths, yogas, and gochara — air-gapped from language models.
Vyakhya. A fixed reading pipeline retrieves verses, drafts an answer, and cite-checks claims against Tier-1 and Tier-2 texts before you see them.
What you can do
After you sign in, the workspace holds people, charts, timing, documents, and conversation in one place.
-
Birth charts
North and South Indian views, divisional charts, and graha tables rendered from engine JSON — no astrology math in the browser.
-
Ask with citations
Follow-up questions return plain-language answers grounded in retrieved verses, with clear markers when support is thin.
-
Life periods
Vimshottari dashas and Sade Sati cycles over a lifetime window, tied to engine dates rather than guesswork.
-
Janma patrika
A print-ready Nepali document with mangalacharan, birth details, kundalis, dasha, and Sade Sati — view or PDF.
-
People & matching
Save family charts and run kundali matching with explicit provenance when a tradition is not from BPHS.
-
Talk with Daivin
A live voice consult over a saved chart, using the same engine facts as the rest of the product.
Sources we use
Authority is tiered. Readings cite Tier-1 and Tier-2 classics; modern commentary is never treated as scriptural authority.
-
Tier-1 — Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra
R. Santhanam translation (Ranjan Publications, 1984, two volumes, 97 chapters). Reference edition for calculation rules and primary interpretive citations.
-
Tier-2 — supporting classics
Brihat Jataka (Varahamihira), Saravali (Kalyana Varma), and Phaladeepika (Mantreswara) — named supporting texts used when BPHS is silent on a topic.
-
Ephemeris — Swiss Ephemeris
Planetary positions, nodes, and rise/set via Swiss Ephemeris (Astrodienst). Licensing is dual AGPL / commercial; see project ADR-001.
-
Ayanamsa & houses
Default Lahiri ayanamsa (Indian Calendar Reform Committee, 1955) and Sripati house system as the BPHS reference configuration. Other options are allowed but flagged as deviations.
Plain-language teaching terms (without claiming classical authority) live in the glossary .
What this is not
GrahaSaathi is for reflection and education. It is not medical, legal, or financial advice. Manuscript traditions differ; where formulas are uncertain we stop for human verification rather than inventing a number from the open web.
